Well, today so happens to be 9/11. If you don’t know what that means, I will remind you that the USA had a massive terrorist attack on that day. Hello, My name is Ali Roberts and I am pleased to have you reading my blog. I am new to this, so please, bear with me. On this day back in 2021, I was on my way to work. I had already been in the car for about 1 minute, when I heard the shocking voice of the DJ on station KUOP announce that the “Twin Towers were Down”. It took a moment for me to wrap my head around this as I was by the Twin Towers a month prior, visiting my cousin in the Bronx. I immediately called my husband and asked him to turn on the news. We were both in disbelief.
That was a memory of dread, but today, I have better memories over the 22 years that have gone by. So many stories and admirations that I would love to share with you while you visit here with me. The first thing that comes to thought, probably for many of you, is ….why The Tree Keeper? What does that have anything to do with memories, the past, or even terror attacks? Well, some things. I believe trees hold onto many memories, just like us. They are ancient and have developed into more than what we see and understand about them. They are healing. They hold truths within their roots that can never be altered. I love trees, and I hope you do too. Please join me on my blog, book writing, and artist journey. I was never really those things before, but I have decided that is what I would like to do now. Isn’t that the amazing thing about us humans? We have the mind to make choices that no other could take away. You may not manifest your dreams instantaneously, but you certainly can make small goals to get you there.
From here on out, I would like to bring up topics about trees and what they mean to me. Also, I will write about my life journey here and there in hopes of inspiring someone out there. I would like to honor all those killed in the 9/11 attacks. You are not forgotten. The tree memorial was placed in honor of you all. visit : https://www.911memorial.org to learn more about the memorial. I ask for your patience again, as I get the hang of what blogging is all about. Until, next time…keep tree keeping.
