Hello Everyone!

November 10, 2023

Hope all of you are well! Today I visited my mom’s gravesite for Veteran’s Day 2023. This is our first Veteran’s day without her as she died in January this year. We miss her. We would always visit with her on Veteran’s day and have a small party. We honored her and thanked her for her service. My Dad was also a veteran. They both served in the US ARMY, met and married. They had four girls, me being the youngest. Today , I honor all Veterans and thank you for your service.

How are the trees in your area today.? In my last post, I wrote about leaves falling off of the trees. Well, they are still on the trees where I live right now. You can see them browning and yellowing but still on the limbs. We need a strong wind or storm to come in and blow the leaves right off of the trees.

I am currently watching Expedition Bigfoot on the Travel channel, season 3. In this season, they are in Alaska, searching for BF. So far, they have come across many trees that have been uprooted and turned upside down and staked right back into the ground. Some of the trees are old and moss is growing all over them. Have you heard of such a thing? If so, what is the meaning of it all? I think they are saying a BF did it because the strength it would entail to uproot a tree. If , hypothetically, a BF exists , and if, hypothetically it uprooted many trees and turned them upside down….what would be the motive? Is if tor communication? Is it a landmark? Is it to mark the territory , a statement of some sort to keep out!!??!! I’ll have to watch the rest of the season in order to see their conclusion about this phenomenon. Overall, it is entertaining and I like to see places on the TV that I have not been to.

That’s all for today folks! Thanks for stopping in.

Hello, and thank you for returning !
I hope everyone is having an awesome autumn. Are the leaves falling off of the trees in your area? I live in the SF Bay Area and the leaves on our trees have not fallen completely. There are only a scattered few on the ground. We have a variety of trees here. The largest ones are the Sapphire Dragons at around 50 ft here where I live. They bloom beautiful lavender color flowers in the spring/early summer. Bees gather upon the them in summer and you can feel their buzzing vibration if you dare walk under the trees. The leaves are large ranging 6-12 inches in length. They have not budged off of the branches as of today. However, their seed pods have! The seed pods are in clusters and reminds me of grapes in an excessive size. The pods will weigh the branch down so much that the branch will snap off. Not to mention, the seeds are sticky. This makes for a complete work out for cleaning it up. It is all worth it to me. The beauty the Sapphire Dragon tree holds is unique. I have been asked by neighbors and passers what type of tree it is. They too are mesmerized by them . You also can grow them easily from a seed. I will describe more about other trees here on another blog. Please see pictures below of Sapphire dragon trees.Have a good day everyone.

What a day to begin blogging…

Well, today so happens to be 9/11. If you don’t know what that means, I will remind you that the USA had a massive terrorist attack on that day. Hello, My name is Ali Roberts and I am pleased to have you reading my blog. I am new to this, so please, bear with me. On this day back in 2021, I was on my way to work. I had already been in the car for about 1 minute, when I heard the shocking voice of the DJ on station KUOP announce that the “Twin Towers were Down”. It took a moment for me to wrap my head around this as I was by the Twin Towers a month prior, visiting my cousin in the Bronx. I immediately called my husband and asked him to turn on the news. We were both in disbelief.

That was a memory of dread, but today, I have better memories over the 22 years that have gone by. So many stories and admirations that I would love to share with you while you visit here with me. The first thing that comes to thought, probably for many of you, is ….why The Tree Keeper? What does that have anything to do with memories, the past, or even terror attacks? Well, some things. I believe trees hold onto many memories, just like us. They are ancient and have developed into more than what we see and understand about them. They are healing. They hold truths within their roots that can never be altered. I love trees, and I hope you do too. Please join me on my blog, book writing, and artist journey. I was never really those things before, but I have decided that is what I would like to do now. Isn’t that the amazing thing about us humans? We have the mind to make choices that no other could take away. You may not manifest your dreams instantaneously, but you certainly can make small goals to get you there.

From here on out, I would like to bring up topics about trees and what they mean to me. Also, I will write about my life journey here and there in hopes of inspiring someone out there. I would like to honor all those killed in the 9/11 attacks. You are not forgotten. The tree memorial was placed in honor of you all. visit : https://www.911memorial.org to learn more about the memorial. I ask for your patience again, as I get the hang of what blogging is all about. Until, next time…keep tree keeping.
